All 4 licences and permissions to manufacture and distribute food products. It has taken 2 years to meet all the requirements to achieve these rare licences in a small local in the city. This whole facility is custom built and meets and excedes many requirements by inspectors. Many of my surface sterilizing practices and food handling are unique and advanced, which has been the main reason for acceptance.
The potential is extensive with more investing into marketing, product exposure and building a larger client base. At the moment we aren't able to invest more into marketing which is needed to get exposure to a higher end client. Even greater would be an on-line store which is the next step.
Currently there is no other smoked food manufacture in Mallorca. Our products are gourmet and free from additive or preservitives, so it would be other gourmet products that are our competition. Our set back is the need for further investment into marketing promotion, exposure and client targeting. The way the products are set up is targeting a high end gourmet market, however any type of food product can be produced. Targeting high end clients requires investment into and exposure to an exclusive client which takes time to get proper product branding and acceptance. Currently I the chef is the only one producing products with my wife as administration.
No more financing for product advertising, promotion and on-line store. Cant handle to run the whole business find clients and produce products from start to finish as its only myself. More employees requires further financing and more work load so I must sell at least 1 of our 5 licences to refinance.
